The Orient
The first sgraffito serie - The flower of the Orient, focusing on Oriental elements or mostly oriental flowers. Inspired by Mandala art, Chinese and Japanese background ornaments.
When thinking of how to implement these ornaments, Sgraffito was the right choice as the technique gives the stoneware a more three dimensional touch to it and it looks more rough. It was the feeling that Jun was going for.
